Junk Raft Privacy Policy
Last updated September 28, 2026
The short version: Junk Raft does not collect, store or share any personal data. The game runs entirely on your iPhone or iPad and makes no network requests. There are no accounts, ads, analytics, tracking or in-app purchases.
This policy explains how Junk Raft (the "app"), made by Featly ("we", "us"), handles information. It applies to the app on iPhone and iPad, including its Home Screen widgets and Live Activity.
What we collect
Nothing. We have no servers for the app, and the app never sends information to us or to anyone else. We cannot see who plays, how they play, or anything on their device.
What stays on your device
- Your voyage. Your raft, progress and settings are saved in the app's own storage on your device. The widgets and Live Activity read a small summary of it through a container shared only between the app and its widgets, on the same device.
- Backups. If you back up your device to iCloud or a computer, your save is included in that backup like any other app data. Apple handles those backups underApple's privacy policy; we can't access them.
Optional features and permissions
- Real compass. If you turn on Real compass, the raft turns with the direction your device is facing. The app reads the compass heading only while you play and only to steer the raft. On some devices iOS asks for "While Using" location permission before it will provide a heading. The app never reads your position or location, and the heading is never recorded or sent anywhere. The feature is off unless you turn it on, and you can turn it off or deny the permission at any time.
- Saving postcards. If you tap Save Image on a postcard, the app asks for permission toadd that picture to your Photos. It can only add; it can't read or see your photo library.
- Sharing. If you choose to share a postcard, the standard iOS share sheet opens and you choose where it goes. We don't receive a copy.
- On-device writing. On devices with Apple Intelligence, the app may use Apple's on-device language model to write short diary lines for your raft's pets. This runs entirely on your device; nothing is sent to us, and the app opens no network connection for it.
Information Apple may share with us
If you have chosen in iOS Settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may send us anonymous, aggregated crash reports and usage statistics. These don't identify you, and we use them only to fix bugs. If you test a pre-release version through TestFlight and send feedback, Apple passes us what you choose to include, such as your comments, screenshots and the email address on your TestFlight account. We use that only to reply to you and to improve the game.
Tracking and third parties
The app contains no advertising, analytics or third-party tracking code, and it does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. We don't sell or share any data, because we don't have any.
Children
Junk Raft is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children.
Deleting your data
All of the app's data lives on your device. To delete it, delete the app; iOS removes its data with it. There's no account to close.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If a change ever meant the app would collect data, we'd say so in the app before it did.
